Nyamekye Awortwie-Grant, a 24-year-old defender of Ghanaian origin, is leaving Stuttgarter Kickers. He has mutually parted ways with the club ahead of the summer transfer window.
The German-born player will join an unnamed team in Germany's third division. This move comes after he activated his exit clause in his contract.
Stuttgarter Kickers announced the departure on their official website. They confirmed that Awortwie-Grant requested to leave and will play in 3. Liga next season.
Sporting director Lutz Siebrecht thanked Nyamekye for his contributions. He noted that Nyame had developed well during the past season. Siebrecht expressed that they would miss him both on and off the pitch.
In the recently concluded season, Nyamekye played 22 games for The Blues. He scored one goal and provided one assist across all competitions.
Due to his Ghanaian heritage, he can still switch nationalities. This means he could represent Ghana at the international level if he chooses to do so.
