German-born defender Joshua Quarshie aims to help Southampton secure Premier League promotion

Joshua Quarshie, a German-born Ghanaian defender, has joined Southampton. His main goal is to help the team return to the English Premier League. He moved from TSG Hoffenheim and signed a four-year contract.

The 20-year-old centre-back brings physical presence and composure to the squad. “I think I’m a very composed player,” Quarshie said about his style. “I keep everything simple and focus on my body and pace.”

He believes he can help the team achieve their goal of promotion. “I’ll do everything I can to show the fans my qualities,” he added.

Last season, Quarshie was on loan at Greuther Fürth in Bundesliga 2. He made 20 appearances and impressed with his defensive skills.

Quarshie was born in Germany to Ghanaian parents. He remains eligible to play for the Black Stars at international level.
