Asante Kotoko reached the MTN FA Cup final with a 1-0 win over Berekum Chelsea. The match took place at the TnA Stadium in Tarkwa on Sunday. This is Kotoko's first final appearance in eight years.
Albert Amoah scored the winning goal in the 81st minute. Kotoko dominated the game but struggled to break Chelsea's defense until late in the match.
Kotoko last won the FA Cup in 2017, beating Hearts of Oak 3-1. They are now close to ending their trophy drought in this competition.
They will face Golden Kick, a lower-tier team, in the final. Golden Kick made history by defeating Attram De Visser 3-1 to reach this stage for the first time.
The final is set for June 15 at the University of Ghana Stadium. Kotoko aims for their ninth FA Cup title, while Golden Kick hopes for a fairytale finish.
