Ghanaian midfielder Moritz-Broni Kwarteng returns to VfL Bochum

Moritz-Broni Kwarteng is returning to his parent club. He spent the last season on loan at Fortuna Düsseldorf in the 2. Bundesliga.

The Ghanaian midfielder will now join VfL Bochum, who were relegated from the Bundesliga. Kwarteng had a strong start but suffered a ligament injury during his loan.

Due to this injury, he returned to Hamburger SV. Fortuna Düsseldorf chose not to make his loan permanent at the end of the season.

Kwarteng is expected to be back in action by June. He will likely play for VfL Bochum in the upcoming season.

He appeared in 15 matches for Fortuna Düsseldorf before his injury. As a German-born player with Ghanaian heritage, he can still represent Ghana internationally. He has not yet been cap-tied by Germany's national team.
