Ghanaian striker Richmond Gyamfi has been released by Hobro IK. He spent the current season on loan at the Danish 1st Division club.
The 20-year-old joined Hobro on a six-month loan from Aarhus GF. This transfer occurred during the January window. He will return to his parent club for the 2025-26 campaign.
Hobro IK confirmed Gyamfi's release on their official website. They stated that he, along with Laurits Nørby and Tobias Lennert, would be leaving. The farewell will happen before their match against HB Køge.
Nørby and Lennert were promoted from the U23 team this season. Nørby is seeking more playing time elsewhere. Lennert has faced injuries and also wants more opportunities.
Gyamfi's loan agreement ends on June 30. After that, he will return to AGF after summer break.
Hobro IK thanked all three players for their efforts in yellow jerseys. Gyamfi played 19 games this season, scoring once and assisting twice.
He has not yet earned a cap with Ghana's national team, the Black Stars.
