Hearts of Oak in advance talks with Maxwell Konadu to become new head coach

Hearts of Oak are in talks with Maxwell Konadu. He is set to become their new head coach next season. Current coach Aboubakar Ouatarra will move to the Technical Director role.

Maxwell Konadu's last job was with Black Leopards in South Africa. He joined them before the recent season but left early this year for unknown reasons.

Konadu is highly regarded and will take over after the current season. He may lead Hearts of Oak into pre-season after finalizing the agreement.

With one game left, Hearts of Oak aims for a top-four finish. They must win against FC Samartex on the final day to achieve this goal.

Konadu's previous role in Ghana was with Nsoatreman FC. He led them to win the MTN FA Cup in the 2023/24 season. This victory marked their first major trophy and qualified them for the CAF Confederations Cup.
