I regret not playing for the Black Stars – Ex-Kotoko defender Augustine Sefah

Augustine Sefah, a former defender for Asante Kotoko and Ashantigold, has shared his biggest career regret. He wishes he had played for the Black Stars.

The 34-year-old has spent his entire career in Ghana. He made a name for himself at Ashantigold and Asante Kotoko. During this time, he won both the Ghana Premier League and the FA Cup.

Sefah was key to Ashantigold's success in winning the league in 2015. He also played a significant role in Kotoko’s 3-1 victory over Hearts of Oak in the FA Cup final in 2019.

Despite his achievements, Sefah was never called up to the Black Stars. This is something he deeply regrets.

He told Bryt FM in Koforidua, “I regret not playing for the Black Stars of Ghana.” He added that he expected a call-up at one point because of his performance.

Since 2022, Sefah has been without a club but has not announced his retirement from football.
