Ibrahim Sulemana expresses elation after first Atalanta goal in win over AS Roma

Ghanaian international Ibrahim Sulemana scored his first goal for Atalanta. This happened in their 2-1 win over AS Roma last night. The victory secured a spot in next season's UEFA Champions League.

The 21-year-old came on as a substitute for Mario Pašalić in the 68th minute. Nigerian international Ademola Lookman opened the scoring for Atalanta in the 9th minute. Bryan Cristante equalized for Roma in the 32nd minute.

With fourteen minutes left, Sulemana scored a spectacular goal. This restored Atalanta's lead and sealed the win, delighting fans in Bergamo. With only two games left this season, Atalanta needed all three points to confirm their Champions League qualification.

Sulemana expressed his joy after scoring his first goal for the club. He noted that it was crucial for securing European football next season. "I'm really happy with this goal," he said. "It was our goal and we achieved it."

He added that coach Gasperini encouraged him to let the forwards play. "We worked so hard, we only look at ourselves and we're very happy," he stated. So far, Sulemana has made seven Serie A appearances for Atalanta this season.
