“It’s not too late“ - Kotoko forward Albert Amoah keeps golden boot hopes alive with a game to end t

Asante Kotoko striker Albert Amoah is in the race for the Golden Boot. He scored a hat-trick in a 3-1 win over Medeama SC on Sunday. The match took place at Baba Yara Stadium.

The 21-year-old forward played exceptionally well. He scored all three goals to help Kotoko secure a crucial home victory. Medeama had taken an early lead, but Amoah turned the game around.

Amoah equalised with a penalty in the 23rd minute. He then scored again with a header in the 40th minute, making it 2-1 before halftime. His hat-trick was completed with another header in the 79th minute.

This performance brought his season total to 12 goals. He is now just three goals behind league top scorer Stephen Amankona of Berekum Chelsea, who has 15 goals.

After the match, Amoah shared his confidence about winning the Golden Boot. “It’s not too late — everything is possible,” he said. He noted that he has two hat-tricks this season.

Kotoko will finish their season against Vision FC next. Fans will be eager to see if Amoah can increase his goal tally and compete for the Golden Boot.
