Kofi Adams cautions match officials ahead of Hearts of Oak v Asante Kotoko showdown

Kofi Adams, the Minister of Sports and Recreation, has a message for match officials. He wants them to maintain professionalism during the Super Clash. This match features Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko. It will take place at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, May 4. This game is part of Matchday 30 in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.

Adams also addressed fans of both teams. He urged them to avoid any actions that could lead to violence. A fair and disciplined approach is essential for this match. "These are the two biggest football clubs in the country," he said on Asempa FM. "But they have disappointed us."

He expressed hope that past mistakes would be corrected. Adams acknowledged the intense rivalry between these clubs. However, he stressed that supporters should not engage in hooliganism. "Let’s all go and watch the game," he added.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has appointed referees for this match. Jacob Aduntera will be the centre referee. Sulemana Salau Deen and Halilu Alhassan are assistant referees. Maxwell Owusu will serve as the fourth official.

Kickoff for this eagerly awaited clash is set for 15:00 GMT.
