The Black Queens of Ghana lost 1-0 to Cote D'Ivoire. This match was an international friendly at the Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium.
Just days earlier, the two teams played a thrilling game. Ghana had a 3-1 lead but ended up drawing 3-3.
Coach Kim Lars made two changes to the lineup. Key players included goalkeeper Cynthia Konlan and skipper Portia Boakye.
The first half was balanced, with both teams competing well. Ghana had a chance when Sherifatu Sumaila hit the post.
Cote D'Ivoire scored early in the second half, just seven minutes in. Doris Boaduwaa thought she equalized for Ghana in the 63rd minute, but it was ruled offside.
Ghana pushed forward and created several chances. However, they could not score, and the match ended 1-0 in favor of Cote D'Ivoire.
Both teams are using these matches to prepare for the upcoming Women's Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
