Manchester United ‘officially’ open talks to sign Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth

Manchester United have started talks with Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo. The Ghanaian player is 25 years old and has impressed this season. He scored nine goals and provided five assists.

New manager Ruben Amorim wants to reshape the squad this summer. Semenyo's pace, power, and work rate fit well with Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 system. His versatility makes him a strong candidate for the wing-back role.

Bournemouth values Semenyo at £70 million. This fee was initially seen as too high. However, United's direct contact with him shows serious interest.

Amorim is “very fond” of Semenyo, making his pursuit important for the club’s rebuild. In the 2024–25 season, Semenyo played a key role in Bournemouth’s success. He scored nine goals and provided five assists in 35 appearances.

He also created 46 chances and had 39 shots on target. His relentless work ethic contributed significantly to the team. With 940 passes and 68 fouls committed, he was vital in Andoni Iraola’s 4-4-2 system.
