Maxwell Boakye, a former Hearts of Oak attacker, is thrilled. He became the top scorer in the Burkina Faso Premier League.

He outperformed Ibrahim Sow and Ali Barro from CF Rahimo FC. Mohamede Borro from ASF Bobo-Dioulasso and Pantoulou Diarra from Salitas FC also scored 9 goals each.
In addition to his league goals, Boakye netted 4 more in the FA Cup. This brought his total to 18 goals across all competitions.
