OFFICIAL: Ghanaian forward Ragnar Ache joins FC Köln

Ghanaian striker Ragnar Ache has joined FC Köln. He signed a four-year deal with the Bundesliga team.

Ache, 26, comes from FC Kaiserslautern. He previously played for Eintracht Frankfurt. His move follows strong interest from Köln ahead of the new season.

The club confirmed his signing, stating: "In the final game of the 2024-25 season, he celebrated on the other side. Now, Ragnar Ache will wear our red and white strip." His contract runs until June 30, 2029.

After signing, Ache expressed his excitement on the club's website. He said he was thrilled about joining Köln and eager to play at RheinEnergieSTADION. He recalled experiencing the amazing atmosphere as an opponent and looks forward to celebrating as a player.

Sporting director Thomas Kessler shared his thoughts on Ache. He felt that Ache would fit well with Köln both as a person and a player. Kessler noted that Ache is not only a skilled striker but also someone who will quickly integrate into the team.

Ache had an impressive season with Kaiserslautern, scoring 18 goals and providing one assist in 32 games across all competitions. Despite playing for Germany's U21 team, he can still switch allegiance to represent Ghana internationally due to his heritage.
