Queensland International School made history at the Rising Star Rugby League Tournament. They won both the boys’ and girls’ divisions. This tournament was held at Englebert School in Accra.
The Rugby League Federation Ghana (RLFG) organized the event. They collaborated with Futurestars Charity and Salford Red Devils. The tournament allowed young athletes to showcase their rugby skills.
The format was all-play-all, featuring five schools. A total of 100 children participated, including 50 boys and 50 girls. Over 20 volunteers helped run the event.
Queensland Boys started with a 2-2 draw against Future Leaders Boys. They then defeated Englebert Boys 4-0 and Twedaase Boys 2-1. Queensland emerged as champions, followed by Twedaase School, Tema Cluster Boys, Future Leaders Boys, and Englebert Boys in that order.
