“Razak Simpson is arguably the best player on the local scene” - Kennedy Boakye Ansah

Kennedy Boakye Ansah, Brands Manager of Nations FC, praised defender Razak Simpson. He called Simpson arguably the best player in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.

Simpson has been vital to Nations FC’s success this season. The team currently leads the league table with 54 points. They are just four matches away from finishing the season.

His strong performances have earned him a spot on the Black Stars. He will participate in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and AFCON qualifiers.

“He [Razak Simpson] has shown he is arguably the best local player,” Boakye Ansah told Citi Sports. “When given a chance with the Black Stars, he proved his worth.”

He also highlighted the club's focus on developing talent for both Nations FC and the national team. “We aim to nurture talents that benefit our national team,” he added.

Simpson will lead the defense again when Nations FC faces Legon Cities. This Matchday 31 clash is set for Monday at Accra Sports Stadium.
