“Razak Simpson is arguably the best player on the local scene” - Kennedy Boakye Ansah

Kennedy Boakye Ansah, Brands Manager of Nations FC, praised defender Razak Simpson. He called Simpson arguably the best player in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.

Simpson has been vital to Nations FC’s success this season. The team is currently at the top of the league table with 54 points. They have just four matches left in the season.

His strong performances have earned him a call-up to the Black Stars. This includes participation in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and AFCON qualifiers.

“He [Razak Simpson] has proven he is arguably the best player locally,” Boakye Ansah told Citi Sports. “Once he got a chance with the Black Stars, we saw his talent.”

He also highlighted the club's focus on developing talent for both Nations FC and the national team. “We believe in developing talents that benefit our national team,” he added.

Simpson will lead the defense again when Nations FC faces Legon Cities. This Matchday 31 clash will take place at Accra Sports Stadium on Monday.
