Sanon, Kobi, Afful, Issah Nominated for April’s GPL Goalkeeper of the Month

The Ex-National Goalkeepers Union has announced four nominees for April's Premier League Goalkeeper of the Month award.

The nominees are Emmanuel Kobi (Gold Stars FC), Daniel Afful (Accra Lions), Rabin Ousmane Sanon (Nations FC), and Shaibu Rafique Issah (FC Samartex 1996).

Emmanuel Kobi played a vital role for Gold Stars. His team won four out of six matches. He kept three clean sheets and conceded four goals.

Daniel Afful from Accra Lions also made the list. He played in five matches, recording two clean sheets. However, he conceded six goals, the highest among the nominees. His team won three games and lost two.

Rabin Ousmane Sanon from Nations FC is a first-time nominee. The Burkinabe goalkeeper had an impressive month, winning four out of five games. He achieved a league-high of four consecutive clean sheets and conceded just one goal. His efforts helped Nations FC secure the top spot by April's end.

Shaibu Rafique Issah from FC Samartex 1996 received back-to-back nominations. He maintained strong form with three wins, one draw, and one defeat. Issah kept three clean sheets while conceding four goals in five appearances.

The winner will receive a prize package from the Ex-National Goalkeepers Union. This includes gloves, a towel, water bottles, and a branded T-shirt.
