Black Stars coach Otto Addo is determined to beat Nigeria.
Ghana will face their West African rivals in the 2025 Unity Cup. The match takes place at the Gtech Community Stadium on Wednesday night.
Addo spoke to the press about seeking revenge for their last game. He wants to claim bragging rights for the supporters. He understands the intense rivalry between the two nations.
"We lost the last friendly, so we want to win this time," he said. "Games like these are important. A win can rally our fans behind us."
The former Borussia Dortmund talent coach noted that this match is more than just a friendly.
"It's a friendly but not really a friendly," he explained. "We want our people to be proud of us. It's always about who has a better team."
He acknowledged that winning would be tough, but they aim for success.
The winner will play either Jamaica or Trinidad and Tobago in the final on Saturday, May 31.
