“We’ve been working towards the FA Cup, but injuries are a major concern” – Kotoko coach Karim Zito

Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito is worried about injuries. His team faces a growing injury crisis before the MTN FA Cup semifinal.

The match is on Sunday, May 11, at 18:00 GMT. It will take place at the TNA Stadium. The Porcupine Warriors want to win their first FA Cup title since 2017.

This competition is Kotoko’s best chance to avoid a trophyless season. Zito emphasized the need for consistency in team selection. He admitted that injuries have complicated their preparations.

“On the field, we’ve been working towards winning the FA Cup,” Zito said. “My worry is that there are injury situations in the team.” He added, “I don’t like changes because consistency leads to success.”

Zito noted that the current injury situation is challenging for him. He aims for his second FA Cup title after winning with Dreams FC last season. His opponent, Samuel Boadu, has also won the FA Cup twice with Hearts of Oak.
