Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, joined by the Police Management Board, has embarked on a nationwide visit to churches, urging peace before, during, and after the December 7 elections.
Speaking at the Church of Pentecost in Accra New Town on Sunday, November 24, Dr. Dampare expressed gratitude for the peaceful atmosphere so far.
He encouraged congregants to persist in praying for peace while supporting the police in maintaining law and order.
“Our collective efforts have led to unprecedented calm during this election period,” he stated, urging all to remain vessels for national unity.
The IGP reaffirmed the police's commitment to ensuring the 2024 general elections become Ghana’s most peaceful yet.
