Mussa Dankwah, Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics, has shared new polling data for the 2024 Ghana elections, focusing on the Ashanti region.

The poll reveals that 64% of voters in Ashanti support the NPP, 22% the NDC, with 8% being floating voters.

Among NPP voters, 95% supported Dr. Bawumia, while 3% voted for Mahama.

In contrast, 89% of NDC voters backed Mahama, and 9% chose Bawumia.

Floating voters were split, with both Mahama and Bawumia receiving 36% each.

The data shows that NDC divisions in the region, particularly among religious groups, led to some NDC supporters backing Bawumia.

Floating voters were crucial in the NPP’s loss, tipping the scale in Mahama’s favor.
