Sarah Adwoa Safo, outgoing MP for Dome-Kwabenya, has urged the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to implement strategic reforms following its defeat in the 2024 general elections.
Speaking at the Accra International Conference Centre on December 16, 2024, she stressed the importance of reevaluating party strategies to regain voter confidence.
Ms. Safo, unseated in the NPP primaries by Mike Oquaye Jnr, addressed concerns about her limited role in the constituency campaign.
She explained her decision to step back, allowing her opponent space to lead while focusing on the national campaign for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s presidential bid.
Despite losing her seat, Ms. Safo reaffirmed her loyalty to the NPP and her constituents, highlighting her lasting influence in Dome-Kwabenya.
