Scrap dealers at Agbogbloshie Old Fadama in the Odododiodio constituency have expressed disappointment with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) over the eviction from their trading site, led by former Greater Accra Regional Minister Henry Quartey.

They claim the eviction has left their livelihoods in disarray, as the area now serves as a dumping site.

Chairman of the Scrap Dealers Association, Ussif Mahama, told Citi News that the group plans to vote for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2024 elections.

“The demolition harmed us deeply, and it’s painful to see the land turned into a dumping ground,” he said. “We hope the NDC returns to power so we can regain our space.”
