President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has cautioned that the Agenda 111 hospital projects may face abandonment if the National Democratic Congress (NDC) returns to power.
He referenced past criticisms of the initiative by the NDC, urging Ghanaians to consider the potential risks of halting such crucial projects.
Addressing professional bodies in the Ashanti Region, the president highlighted progress on key healthcare infrastructure, including the completed Sewua Infectious Disease Centre, Komfo Anokye Maternity and Children’s Hospital at 68% completion, and finished district hospitals in Asante Akyim and Kumawu.
With his tenure ending in January 2025, Akufo-Addo vowed to commission several projects and urged voters to reflect on the implications of leadership change in the December 7 elections.
