Akufo-Addo Must Apologize for NPP’s Defeat – Hon. Obeng Takyi

Hon. George Obeng Takyi, the outgoing MP for Manso Nkwanta, has urged President Nana Akufo-Addo to accept responsibility for the NPP’s 2024 electoral defeat to the NDC, led by John Mahama.

In a radio interview, Obeng Takyi attributed the loss to divisions caused by the NPP primaries.

He accused Akufo-Addo of playing a manipulative role in the selection process, which fractured party unity and alienated grassroots supporters.

This disunity, according to Obeng Takyi, led to the party's poor performance.

He called on the president to publicly apologize for his actions, which he believes contributed significantly to the NPP’s defeat.
