The National Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has urged Ghanaians not to re-elect the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and its presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
Speaking at a rally in Nalerigu, Asiedu Nketiah argued that voting for Dr. Bawumia equates to endorsing a "third term" for President Akufo-Addo, alleging it’s part of an agenda to maintain control under Akufo-Addo's influence.
He encouraged Northerners to support NDC candidate John Mahama, describing him as a genuine leader for the region. Asiedu Nketiah further claimed the NPP lacks genuine commitment to Dr. Bawumia’s presidency, suggesting his selection was strategic to counter criticism.
The chairman visited Chereponi, Yunyoo, and Nalerigu-Gambaga constituencies, rallying support for NDC parliamentary candidates.
