The Coalition of Domestic Election Observers (CODEO) has urged Ghanaians to remain patient as the Electoral Commission (EC) prepares to announce the official results of the December 7 elections.
In a December 8 briefing, CODEO highlighted the credibility of the electoral process, emphasizing that polling station arrangements and ballot counting were largely adequate.
The coalition reported that 99% of party agents and all presiding officers signed parliamentary results declaration forms, affirming the transparency of the process.
CODEO also confirmed receiving data from 1,500 polling stations nationwide, ensuring a reliable Parallel Vote Tabulation (PVT) to verify the EC’s results.
Commending all stakeholders for a peaceful election, CODEO called on citizens to trust the constitutional process and uphold democratic values while awaiting the official outcome.
