Manaf Ibrahim, the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Asawase, sparked a brief confrontation at the Akurem Junior High School polling station when he refused to skip the queue, despite being offered preferential treatment.
He explained that, as per electoral rules, he had no right to bypass the line and chose to wait with other voters.
The situation escalated when an NDC supporter holding the voter register began engaging with voters.
Manaf raised concerns about this, prompting tensions.
He clarified that this was his fourth time voting at the station without ever skipping the queue, and his actions were simply in line with fairness and respect for the rules.
