Samuel Tettey Samuel Tettey

The Electoral Commission (EC) has reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and accountability ahead of the December 7 elections following reports of ballot paper shortfalls in the Bono and Volta Regions.

According to the EC, discrepancies were identified during routine verification processes by regional staff, ensuring any issues are addressed before Election Day.

Deputy Chairman Samuel Tettey noted that the Commission ordered reprints to rectify the shortfalls and promptly informed political parties.

Similar shortfalls in other regions, including Greater Accra and Western North, have also been addressed.

The EC criticized social media narratives targeting the Volta Region shortfalls as misleading attempts to undermine trust.

The Commission assured Ghanaians of its dedication to a credible electoral process and urged the public to rely on official sources for accurate information.
