The Electoral Commission (EC) has urged political stakeholders and the public to remain patient as it works on verifying the results of the 2024 elections.
At a press conference on December 8, EC Chairperson Jean Mensa reassured Ghanaians that the official results will be announced after thorough verification, within a 72-hour timeframe.
Her comments came after NDC National Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, called for prompt results following the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, conceding defeat.
Mensa emphasized the need for accuracy and transparency, noting that the process involves political party agents and observers.
She also confirmed that results from the Ahafo Region have been received, with others still being processed.
