The Coalition of Domestic Election Observers (CODEO) has begun an expanded post-election monitoring initiative, deploying 20 trained observers nationwide from December 22, 2024, to January 23, 2025.

In a statement signed by National Coordinator Albert Arhin, CODEO emphasized its focus on electoral disputes, political actors’ conduct, and adherence to constitutional processes ahead of the January 7, 2025, swearing-in of President-elect John Mahama.

The initiative aims to ensure transparency, accountability, and peace during Ghana’s democratic transition.

CODEO urged stakeholders to resolve parliamentary result disputes lawfully, promoting stability.

Regular updates will be shared with the public to sustain confidence in the electoral process and foster unity.
