The Convention People’s Party (CPP) presidential candidate, Nana Akosua Sarpong Kumankuma, has condemned the Electoral Commission (EC) for leaving the late Akua Donkor’s name on the ballot paper for the upcoming elections.
During a visit to polling centers in the Dormaa Central constituency, Nana Akosua expressed concern over the EC’s oversight, referencing a similar incident where a deceased candidate posthumously won an election.
She argued that such lapses erode voter confidence and undermine the credibility of the electoral process.
Calling for swift action, she urged the EC to rectify the issue before election day to maintain transparency and fairness. Her critique aligns with broader concerns about the EC’s readiness, prompting calls for reforms to restore public trust.
