The Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference has expressed deep concern over the violence and unrest following the 2024 general elections, condemning the loss of lives, destruction of property, and societal divisions.

In a statement, the Bishops urged Ghanaians to cease all violent activities, emphasizing that such actions undermine democracy and harm the vulnerable. They called on political leaders to guide their followers with wisdom, denounce unlawful acts, and prioritize peace and national well-being.

The Bishops also tasked security agencies to act professionally, ensuring fairness while holding perpetrators accountable regardless of political ties.

Encouraging collective efforts from religious leaders, civil society, and citizens, they stressed dialogue and unity as pathways to healing.

"May God bless Ghana with peace and harmony," they concluded.
