Chinese President Xi Jinping has congratulated Ghana’s President-elect John Dramani Mahama on his victory in the December 7 elections, emphasizing the strong and historic ties between the two nations.

In his message on December 11, President Xi highlighted Ghana’s role as one of the first sub-Saharan countries to establish diplomatic relations with China. He noted the steady growth of bilateral ties, marked by fruitful cooperation in various fields.

President Xi expressed his commitment to strengthening China-Ghana relations, pledging to work with Mahama to deepen political trust and advance their strategic partnership for mutual benefit.
