The Concerned Drivers Association of Ghana (C-DAG) has revealed plans to reduce transport fares in the coming weeks following John Dramani Mahama’s victory in the December 7 general elections.

Mahama's win, which ended the NPP’s bid to break the eight-year political cycle, has brought optimism to C-DAG members, who have long struggled with economic challenges.

The association had previously threatened fare hikes due to rising fuel and spare part costs but now believes the local currency is stabilizing, partly due to Mahama's electoral success.

Paa Willie, a key C-DAG member, expressed hope for improved economic conditions under the new administration during an interview on Hot FM's AYEHU Show.
