President-elect John Dramani Mahama has pledged full cooperation and respect for outgoing President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo during the ongoing transition process.
Speaking at the inauguration of the National Transition Team in Accra, Mahama urged the team to prioritize national unity, emphasizing, "Let the spirit of nationalism prevail."
The transition process, mandated by the Presidential (Transition) Act, 2012, officially commenced on December 11 with a meeting at Jubilee House.
The team is tasked with ensuring a seamless transfer of executive authority, including briefing the incoming administration and facilitating the inauguration.
The collaborative efforts of both leaders highlight Ghana’s commitment to democratic principles and national progress beyond political affiliations.
