The Electoral Commission (EC) has successfully delivered parliamentary ballot papers to the Greater Accra Region (GAR) ahead of the December 7 elections.
The process, which began on Thursday, November 14, was closely monitored by EC officials and representatives from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to ensure transparency.
Gladys Pinkrah, GAR’s EC Director, confirmed that the papers are securely stored at the Regional Police headquarters.
Presidential ballot papers are expected next week for further distribution.
To prevent tampering, ballot bags were sealed with unique, color-coded seals assigned to the EC, NPP, and NDC.
Party agents verified all serial numbers, expressing confidence in the security measures.
Other regions, including Central and Western, will receive their ballots starting November 15.
