Dumelo files OSP complaint against Lydia Alhassan for distributing food to voters

John Dumelo, NDC Parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso West Wuogon, has filed a complaint with the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) against incumbent MP Lydia Seyram Alhassan.

The complaint alleges that Ms. Alhassan distributed food to voters during the special voting exercise, an act Dumelo claims violates Ghana’s criminal and electoral laws.

In a Facebook post, Dumelo disclosed that his team provided video evidence and additional information suggesting plans to unlawfully influence voters during the December 7 general elections. He stressed the need to uphold electoral integrity and urged the OSP to investigate swiftly to safeguard the democratic process.

Dumelo called for decisive action to ensure free and fair elections in the constituency, emphasizing the importance of addressing any potential breaches.
