The National Peace Council (NPC) has clarified that the re-collation exercise at the Tesano Police Training School was initiated by the Electoral Commission (EC), not by political parties or the Ghana Police Service.

The exercise, focused on disputed results in Suhum, Nsawam Adoagyiri, Fanteakwa North, and Akwatia constituencies, was suspended after disagreements over its process.

NDC National Chairman Asiedu Nketiah criticized the exercise, calling it legally unjustified.

In response, the NPC urged political parties to resolve disputes through legal channels and recommended an urgent Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting to build consensus.

The NPC assured its continued engagement with stakeholders to promote a peaceful resolution and emphasized the importance of dialogue to end the deadlock.
