EC reschedules Special Voting in two regions over ballot breach

The Electoral Commission (EC) has recalled and reprinted ballot papers for the Eastern and Western Regions after a security breach flagged by National Security.

A leaked defaced ballot from Checkpoint Printing Limited prompted the action.

To ensure integrity, reprinting will include enhanced security features and be handled by Dark Press and Innolink. Special voting for the two regions, originally set for December 2, will now take place on December 5.

The EC has briefed all political parties, who support the decision, while the general election date of December 7 remains unchanged. This swift response aims to secure confidence in the electoral process.
