Former Tamale Central MP, Inusah Fuseini, has accused the Electoral Commission (EC) of creating a constitutional crisis through its handling of disputed parliamentary election results.
Speaking on Joy News on December 28, Fuseini criticized the EC’s repeated revisions of results, calling it “highly incompetent” and a threat to national stability.
Fuseini warned that the EC’s actions could spark public outrage and destabilize the country.
His comments followed the Supreme Court’s nullification of re-collated results for constituencies, including Tema Central and Techiman South, citing violations of NDC candidates' rights.
He also condemned the EC's haste in re-collating results and alleged a conflict of interest, stating, “The EC appears to be an interested party in this case.”
Fuseini called for more careful handling to safeguard Ghana’s democracy.
