Alhaji Mohammed Frimpong, Flagbearer of the National Democratic Party (NDP), has clarified that the November 26 attack on his team between Nsakaw and Wenchi in the Bono Region was not a targeted assault but part of a resurgence in armed robberies in the area.
Speaking to Citi News, Alhaji Frimpong revealed that similar incidents occurred on November 25 and 27, indicating a worrying trend. He commended the swift response of a police patrol team, which ensured no injuries were sustained during the attack.
Frimpong expressed confidence in the police to apprehend the perpetrators and emphasized ongoing discussions with the Regional Commander to address the issue.
"It was an unfortunate encounter with robbers, not a direct attack," he stated.
