The Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC) explained the delay in declaring the 2024 General Election results, stating that as of 8:00 AM on December 8, 2024, no results had reached the National Collation Centre.
Although regional collation is ongoing, results have yet to be relayed nationally.
The EC emphasized that the process is legally mandated and must be strictly followed to ensure integrity.
Despite public concerns and a concession speech from one dominant party, the EC affirmed its commitment to lawful procedures. Results will be published once received.
