Election 2024: G/A Private School Owners Association endorses Mahama for president

The Private School Owners Association in Greater Accra has endorsed NDC Presidential Candidate John Mahama ahead of the December elections, citing neglect under the current government.

The group criticized the exclusion of private schools from the Free Senior High School (FSHS) policy, attributing financial hardships and closures to this omission.

They believe Mahama’s pledge to review the policy to include private institutions will offer much-needed financial relief.

“John Mahama has assured us of bold reforms to integrate private schools into FSHS, ensuring fair competition and equitable access for all students,” the association stated.

The owners expressed confidence in Mahama's ability to revitalize the private education sector, describing him as the best hope for restoring its dignity and sustainability.
