Election 2024: Incident involving broken seal of electoral material bag resolved – Police

The Ghana Police Service has clarified an incident involving a broken seal on a bag of electoral materials for the upcoming December 7, 2024, elections.

The affected bag, sent to a constituency in the Eastern Region, had its seal broken accidentally during the packing and unpacking process at the distribution point.

The Police assured that the contents of the bag remained intact and were verified by Electoral Commission officials and political party representatives, who confirmed the materials' integrity.

The Police urged the public to disregard any misinformation and emphasized their commitment to a secure, transparent electoral process for all stakeholders.
