A group of lecturers from the University of Ghana has publicly endorsed John Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) ahead of the December 7 elections, citing the party’s "superior vision and commitment to Ghana's restoration."
In a statement issued on December 2, the academics clarified their decision was based on professional judgment rather than political loyalty. They highlighted Mahama's leadership as pivotal to addressing the nation’s current challenges.
Quoting Kwame Nkrumah, the group stressed the university's role as the nation’s conscience, stating, “To remain neutral in times of moral crisis is to side with the oppressor.”
The lecturers urged Ghanaians to vote for Mahama to "restore hope, rebuild trust, and reignite the Ghanaian dream."
