Mussa Dankwah, Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics, has projected that the 2024 general elections will result in a decisive first-round victory for former President John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate.
Dankwah predicts Mahama will win outright without a runoff and that the NDC will secure a parliamentary majority.
This forecast contrasts with the view of Prof. Smart Sarpong, Director of Research and Innovation at Kumasi Technical University, whose poll suggests that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will retain its parliamentary majority, with Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia leading the presidential race, possibly requiring a runoff.
Dankwah's survey shows Mahama with 51.9% support, ahead of Bawumia at 40.5%.
