Effutu MP Alexander Afenyo-Markin has urged the youth to avoid violence during the upcoming elections, emphasizing peaceful, issue-based campaigns over confrontations.
Speaking at the annual Teachers’ Awards in his constituency, the Majority Leader in Parliament stressed that individuals engaging in violence will face legal consequences, with no political intervention to secure their release.
He cautioned supporters to avoid being used for disruptive acts, highlighting that politicians across party lines maintain amicable relationships.
“We don’t fight; we engage. Don’t expect politicians to defend violent actions that harm our communities. Let’s be responsible,” Afenyo-Markin advised, calling for calm and focus on constructive political discourse.
