Election 2024: Vote for Bawumia, NPP PCs to avoid ‘trouble’ speaker – Akufo-Addo

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has criticized Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin, labeling him a “troublemaker” over recent parliamentary decisions.

The remarks came during the NPP’s final rally in Legon, where Akufo-Addo urged Ghanaians to vote for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and all NPP parliamentary candidates in the December 7 elections.

The President’s comments followed Speaker Bagbin’s decision to reconvene Parliament on December 16, after the general elections.

This announcement came after Bagbin declined a request from Majority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin to convene Parliament in late November, citing the lack of a prepared agenda from the Business Committee.
